Jazz At Salvo’s : The Sunday Sessions
Gip Dammone and Lubi Jovanovic of the DIG! Family, chroniclers of the jazz and groove underground in the north of England from the mid 1980’s through to the new millenium, launch a new live Sunday jazz session in Leeds from September 10th 2017. Bands have been confirmed to play every 2 weeks plus DIG! Family DJs will be playing jazz records each session. Add to this a fine selection of Italian beers and the best pizza around, and it’s a winning combination.
Here’s how the night runs. Doors 8pm. First set 8.15pm. Second set 9.30pm. No cover charge
Bar open late serving Italian craft beers.
Full menu available until 9.00pm then pizza and arancani until late.

A tribute to the world’s greatest jazz record label of all time – Blue Note Records! This firing young quintet play the music of Hank Mobley, Wayne Shorter, Horace Silver and Joe Henderson in all it’s finest glory – no wishy washy lounge jazz here – this is hard bop, modal jazz and soul bossa of the highest order. Skwid Ink – guitarist Will Lakin’s band switch from fusion punk/funk/trip hop jazz to some grooving Grant Green 70s style soul jazz
