Another great party last month. Just under 100 dancers on a very busy weekend of events. Still holding up good numbers because we maintain a strict music policy ie no bad music! We continue in June as usual on the third Sunday with resident DJs Lubi and Jane Salsaldi but we have a slight change to the norm.
After almost 3 years of hosting a purely salsa dance social with no classes or live bands, for this one we are featuring for the first time an early doors salsa dance class. The first hour is usually quiet anyway (before the free parking kicks in at 8pm), so we’ll be running a class with a new recently arrived international salsa dance teacher in Manchester.
Gormack Dione is French of Senegalese descent and has been teaching salsa for 19 years and dancing it for even longer. He’s lived and taught salsa classes in Paris, Spain, London and been a guest teacher at many salsa congresses/festivals across Europe. He recently moved to Manchester for his day job and has already hit Revolucion De Cuba Manchester every Wednesday like a turbo-charged salsa dance machine. This man loves to dance…..all styles, all music and non stop from start to finish! He will be teaching this one-off class at Sunday Salsa Social on Sunday 17th June from 7.30pm-8.30pm. It will be intermediates level crossbody salsa on1.
The cost of the class & club will be just £4. The club only remains just £3 as usual.
As always, your resident DJs are DJ Lubi (Calle Ocho Leeds/RDC Leeds & Manchester) and DJ Jane Salsaldi (Salsaldi Events/RDC Nottingham & Liverpool) and we will be maintaining our longstanding music policy of NO BAD MUSIC. Only the best old and new salsa, mambo, timba, son Cubano, cha cha, bugalu and bachata. Sunday Salsa Social is an inclusive night that welcomes all salsa dance styles and all salsa dancers. As our motto goes, #forthedancers
See you there 🙂
