They’re back!!!

Europe’s number one salsa dura kings Tromboranga return from Barcelona to Leeds as part of their 2018 world tour promoting their latest album “Tumbando Fronteras”. Since they were last here in 2016 for their 2nd Leeds show (remember we also did their first ever UK show in Leeds in 2014), they’ve played China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Colombia (the famous La Feria De Cali Festival), Russia, USA and probably every country in Europe. As their latest album says, they really are “knocking down borders”.

We can now happily announce they will be back on Friday 15th June 2018 for ONE EXCLUSIVE UK SHOW at The Wardrobe Leeds (St Peter’s Square LS9 8AH). If you came to our sold-out La Maxima 79 live salsa concert at the same venue, you know it’s a great place for live salsa shows.

We seriously cannot wait to have them back at the home of live salsa in Leeds since 1999, The Wardrobe, now looking even better than ever with new soundsystem, new lights, new dancefloor. It’s the venue that has seen so many great salsa stars play live there including Tito Allen (Fania Allstars), Wayne Gorbea, Ricardo Lemvo, Alfredo de la Fe (Tipica 73/Tito Puente), La Excelencia, Herman Olivera (Eddie Palmieri/Spanish Harlem Orchestra) and La Maxima 79.

For this night, there is no salsa dance class. It is purely about the music and dancing. Support comes from us Calle Ocho DJs Lubi Jovanovic and Fabio Bahia. A night of 100% salsa past and present, hard and romantic, classic and modern plus a touch of son Cubano, mambo, guaguanco, cha cha cha and bachata.

This is the live salsa gig of the year up north without a doubt so get those tickets bought asap as we are sure it will sell out.
