MANTECA : another chilled Sunday Latin music session in Leeds for dancers, drinkers and thinkers!
Manteca is back!
The monthly chilled-out Sunday Latin music session for dancers, drinkers and thinkers in the city of Leeds in the north of England. Once again, myself and DJ Phillip Charles will be throwing down some great Latin music across the full spectrum at the groovy 212 Cafe & Bar in Brewery Place, Leeds city centre. The date is Sunday 9th November, the time is 5pm to 10pm and entry is, as always, free. It’s a tiny place but sometimes, size isn’t everything. Small can be beautiful too 🙂
This time I’ll be playing some Brazilian bossa nova and MPB vinyl between 5pm and 6.30pm and Phillip will continue with his early doors passion for Latin funk and Latin disco. Come 6.30pm though, watch out! The big guns come out for the salsa and mambo dancers….salsa clasica, son Cubano, cha cha cha, mambo, bugalu, Cuban jazz, salsa dura. Once again, I’m on 100% vinyl all night long.
