SUNDAY SALSA SOCIAL MCR with JANE SALSALDI & DR SALSA

Looking forward to September’s Sunday Salsa Social at Revolucion De Cuba Manchester with resident DJs Lubi and Jane Salsadi. After the previous month’s packed party, it’s sure to be another busy one.

Just thought we’d make the Facebook event for October’s party. Lubi is unable to DJ this one due to family commitments so for the first time in ages, we have a special guest DJ.

Scotland’s finest salsa DJ and export to England Dr Salsa aka George Donoghue, will be joining Jane Salsaldi on the decks. He was one of Glasgow’s salsa pioneers in the late 1990s, both as a dance teacher and DJ. As a promoter, he ran top nights in the city for many years and is one of the people behind the Scottish Salsa Congress. He moved to Yorkshire in 2009 and joined Lubi in 2010 at the big multiroom Calle Ocho Leeds party where he is still one of the resident DJs.

George plays good kicking salsa from Puerto Rico, New York and Colombia as well as Cuban salsa, mambo, cha cha cha and bachata.

He joins our resident DJ Jane Salsaldi (Salsaldi Events/RDC Liverpool/Nottingham/Birmingham/Huddersfield) on the decks for the 5hr social. No dance class, just dancing.

Sunday Salsa Social is promoted by the DJs and not the venue so it is self-funded from door sales with a small entry charge to maintain the 100% salsa music policy.

Price is just £4 for the party from 7.30pm-12.30am…..5 hours of non-stop dancing.

From La Maxima 79 to Havana D’Primera, Tito Puente to Frankie Ruiz, Romeo Santos to Maykel Blanco, Oscar D’Leon to Tromboranga, Celia Cruz to Los Van Van.

Remember every Sunday, the venue have 2-for-1 deals all day/evening on all tapas and all cocktails including non-alcohol “mocktails”.  Come down early and fuel up for dancing on some quality Cuban/Latino food. Please support the venue who to continue supporting our salsa scene.
