SUNDAY SALSA SOCIAL MCR

After skipping July due to the big Revolucion De Cuba Manchester refurbishment, we came back strong with Sunday Salsa Social in August. About 150 dancers which is almost as many as the Wednesday night Salsa Social. With no dance class, dancers came much earlier. We had 102 people in by 9pm and 150 by 10.30pm.

So, after speaking to dancers, it seems you guys want to come down and start dancing earlier.  With that in mind, we’re stopping the dance class and going back to being just a salsa dance social, as we were for the first 3 years. So doors are 7.30pm and the dancefloor is all yours from then folks.

Sunday Salsa Social is promoted by the DJs and not the venue so it is self-funded from door sales with a small entry charge to maintain the 100% salsa music policy.

Price is just £4 for the party from 7.30pm-12.30am…..5 hours of non-stop dancing.

As always, your resident DJs are DJ #LubiJovanovic (Calle Ocho Leeds/RDC Leeds & Manchester/VAMOS Leeds Festival) and DJ #JaneSalsaldi (Salsaldi Events/RDC Liverpool/Nottingham/Birmingham).

We will be maintaining our longstanding music policy of NO BAD MUSIC. Only the best old and new #salsa #mambo #timba #soncubano #chachacha #Latinbugalu #guaguanco #bachata. From La Maxima 79 to Havana D’Primera, Tito Puente to Frankie Ruiz, Romeo Santos to Maykel Blanco, Oscar D’Leon to Tromboranga, Celia Cruz to Los Van Van.

Remember every Sunday, the venue have 2-for-1 deals all day/evening on all tapas and all cocktails including non-alcohol “mocktails”.  Come down early and fuel up for dancing on some quality Cuban/Latino food.

Sunday Salsa Social is an inclusive night that welcomes all salsa dance styles and all salsa dancers at all levels.
